We Are, A Nation of Immigrants – New London, CT is an exceptional project that celebrates the rich diversity and immense contribution of immigrants throughout the history of our region and country.
A Nation of Immigrants, Citywide Installations
20-foot high murals will be attached to each of the six exterior sidewalls of the three churches on the Green. The two “courtyards” created in the spaces between the churches will host oversized, free-standing portraits. The public gallery will serve as a focal point and a gathering spot for events, conversations and individual reflection.

Various designs could be made to create different interactive experiences. Example of converting vacant store windows into gallery walls. This allows for applications in neighborhoods.
We Are encourages a community-wide dialogue and builds awareness of this contribution. It is that very richness that gives us an edge in this 21st Century age of creativity and innovation.
